Minimac Systems Pvt. Ltd. secured the Platinum Award for Best Technology and Solutions in Maintenance at the 6th CII National Maintenance Circle Competition 2025. It was held virtually on March 6-7 for its smart presentation titled “Technology-Driven Varnish Removal for Enhanced Maintenance & Reliability”.
The recognition was awarded for a successful case study that addressed a critical turbine varnish issue in a major power plant in Western India, a problem that posed a potential power crisis and projected financial losses of over ₹1.5 Cr. Led by Anshuman Agrawal (Founder & MD), Minimac’s Operations & Maintenance team deployed its FS 500 system to purify over 23,500 litres of contaminated oil, achieving a dramatic drop in MPC ΔE from “38.6” to “7.2”, NAS class improvement from “Class 12” to “Class 6”, and zero turbine trips post-treatment. The estimated cost savings of “₹1.5 Cr” in downtime, oil replacement, and CO₂e reduction of “0.282 gigagrams”, aligning with Minimac’s ESG goals, were accomplished.
Speaking on behalf of the team, Mr Anshuman Agrawal stated, “This recognition speaks up for our long-held belief that responsible maintenance is just as important as well-engineered maintenance. The FS 500 wasn't just a simple fix, but it was also a game-changer in terms of minimising a major malfunction, increasing uptime, and producing quantifiable outcomes for the environment and company.” Minimac’s case was celebrated for its properly structured, data-driven approach, field-level training programmes, and for setting a new maintenance standard that is now being horizontally deployed across sectors like power, steel, petrochemicals, and many more. This award further amplifies Minimac’s position as a technology-driven leader in sustainable lubrication after already receiving the GreenPro Ecolabel and the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label.
